Another former Verdian heads overseas!

Takeshi Hirano, who was rumored at the end of 2005 to be on the move to Red Star Belgrade before Marinos stepped in and signed him up is now reported to be on the move to the MLS cup also-rans New England Revolution. Hirano had a very disappointing year in 2006, appearing in only 9 games and sitting out a major portion of the season with a heart arrythmia.
Sports Hochi reports that the former Japan international is going in for a one week trial with the club in Bermuda and then they'll see how it goes from there.
The article also goes into three paragraphs of unneccesary blather about playing against Beckham and how he'll be in the same town as Boston Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka
(Big thanks to Verdy Blog for this tip!)
