Weekend Wrapup

This is gonna be quick........

Shinji Muro transferred to Sagan Tosu. The GK who was acquired from the highly prestigious Bay United in New Zealand played never for Verdy last year and probably won't play for Sagan next year either. Good Luck

A team of second stringers tied newly promoted J2 side Roasso Kumamoto 1-1 on Saturday in Kumamoto. Practice match superstar Kazunori Iio notched an early goal for the squad before Kumamoto tied late.

The team also won 7-0 to Miyasaki girls school of beauty and Gynecology 7-0 (Some University squad.....dunno, don't care)

Don't write angry.

Ive just checked 7-11 and Family Mart and all tickets for the away end for Kawasaki are gone....m******ers!! where were these guys for the last two years!!?? The fairweather fan eh!! I wished for them to arrive but now they are here I cant get a ticket.Bugger!!.. unless the touts have taken them all in which case Im SURE theyll get burnt. These guys have come from the same mysterious place where the 55,000 came from to see Cerezo slip up for the title against FC Tokyo on the last day a couple of years back. Cerezos opening day of J2 crowd, somewhere in the region of 5,000 odd as I recall.Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! Still, if we lose the first couple of games things will go back to normal.I will have to sit on my hands in the home end I think, just imagining Hulk still plays for us as he slams in the third of his hat trick!!

According to Rising Sun News we have signed ace striker Takayuki "no goals in 46 consecutive games" Suzuki from Marinos....SHITE is the only word I can think of. Im sure if I played in 46 consecutive games I could get one in even if it banged off my arse/a shin roller/lucky deflection/penalty/dodgy own goal awarded to me/ I think if you stand in the box for the equivalent of 3 days (and nights!!!!) you should at least score one!! According to Wikipedia the guy has scored 30 goals in a 13 year career......Wonderful.

Verdy draw 1-1 against Frontale :). I saw the game I like it! Takagi's squad made a serioursly play and had good counter-attacks. Frontale is a powerful team (Hulk, Juninho, Chong Tese, Nakamura, Kurotsu...) so I think the team was so good, specially Doi, Fukunishi and Kawano, who played some minutes and remembered me Romario :D.

And I have also to congratulate the green crowd who went to Todoroki, supporting the team!!

See you! :)

Hi Guys, I went to the game at Todoroki which was completely sold out including the away end!! Spring sunshine, good football and the last minute penalty felt like we`d got a win instead of a draw. Great stuff. We played really well against one of the big boys from last year. I was surprised by our quality. If we play like that every week then we will stay in J1 no problem. A BIG test this weekend against Kashima but I think we have shown that we can play at this level. I will be going with my daughter and friend who came to Kawasaki but couldn`t by a ticket on the day as they were all sold out!! Welcome back to the site!! Ive been checking hoping someone might look in!! A tough game where anything we can get will be gratefully recieved. Any point would be an excellent result given Kashimas start to the season!!

I went along to Ajinomoto for the Kashima game, decent crowd of nearly 18,000!! Biggest at home for a LONG time. We played well again but couldn`t get the break, we didn`t have too many chances to be honest but the game plan seemed to be keeping Kashima at bay rather than trying to take the initiative. It was working very well and had Diego`s effort sneaked in at 0-0 instead of smacking against the joint, things could have been very different. As it was they scored soon after and while we were pushing for an equaliser, they wrapped it up in the last couple of minutes. Although it was a loss, we played well and were very solid for long periods. The tactics for me so far have been spot on. First three games Kawasaki,Kashima and next up Gamba. I looked at these 3 games at the start of season and though we`d be lucky to finish with ANY points and not have a stack of goals in the against column. As it is we have a point and two excellent performances. I think we all know we aren`t gonna be anywhere near winning the league so we have to think we are doing just fine. I don`t like to see 4-5-1 ESPECIALLY at home, but given the opposition and how the game panned out, it was a good choice in my book. However, I don`t want to see this all season!! We have to open up against the weaker teams, two up top is a must. Im loving every minute so far!! The battle has started already, the target, J1 next season to begin with once that gooal is achieved I will think higher. At the moment even though results aren`t great and we still haven`t scored from open play, Im more than satisfied.
Onwards and Upwards!!
