Crap game, crap result, crap stadium. The wife fell asleep that day.(Must be a family thing though as her sister fell asleep watching Nakamura Shunsuke`s last game for the Marinos against Verdy in a crowd of over 50,000 at the National Stadim....) Might be ok this weekend though,on the plus side the ground only holds about 10,000 at the very most and is tiny. If a few Consadole fans show up which they usually do there could be a decent atmosphere. Also no athletic track so youre right on top of the action instead of straining to see who is who.Lets hope we get back on track this weekend. Also, more importantly, lets hope the weather is good as there is no roof and I for one don`t fancy sitting in pissing drizzle in a crap ground watching the Boys take another shoeing!! If its sunny and with a beer in hand, losing doesnt seem half as bad....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14794139.post-1145793882773196582006-04-23T05:04:00.000-07:002006-04-23T05:04:00.000-07:00Nishigaoka? What on earth would possess you to go ...Nishigaoka? What on earth would possess you to go there?

The stadium is located in the heart of an industrial slum between Tokyo and Urawa. You can smell scorched steel and other toxic fumes as you mae your way through towering blocks of danchi, on your way to a tiny little ground that has fewer (and more decrepit) bleachers than my old high school's stadium. What a dump!

Anyway, the easiest access is from the Toei Mita line, Hon-Hasunuma Station. Go out the east exit and start walking east towards Akabane on the nearest east-west street you find. Youll either run into the park at the end of the street, or pass by it if it is one of the two major streets that go all the way through to Akabane.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
